Éclipse Vase

Part of the Earthy Drift collection, the Éclipse Vase shares its glaze, technique, and clay body with the Tourbillon Vase, twisting ridges spiraling around the form, dark brown, white, and green celadon left unlined by flux to hold their true color, with crystalline glaze catching soft metallic glints along the ridges. Here, a deeper, near-black passage moves through the twist like a shadow crossing light, giving the piece a moodier, more dramatic presence.

Its mouth opens in soft, scalloped waves, rounder and gentler than Tourbillon's, a quiet contrast to the intensity of the glaze below.

As each piece is hand-thrown and individually glazed, no two vases are exactly alike. Variations in glaze bleed, color, and metallic surfacing are part of each piece's character.
