Élan Bud Vase

Taller and more upright than the Fleur Bud Vase, the Élan Bud Vase carries the same glaze and clay in a more elongated form. Its body rises through soft, uneven undulations, hip and shoulder, before gathering into a ruffled, asymmetric neck that twists rather than opens evenly, as though caught mid-motion. Dark brown stoneware shows through at the rim and along the high points of the form, while the light blue and blue-grey glaze pools into the folds below.

Its medium scale gives it presence without overwhelming a space, striking on its own or gathered with the smaller Fleur Bud Vase for a sense of variation in height and form.

As each piece is hand-thrown and individually glazed, no two vases are exactly alike. Variations in glaze movement and depth are part of each piece's character.
