Tourbillon Vase

Part of the Earthy Drift collection, the Tourbillon Vase takes the collection's hand-shaping furthest yet. Diagonal ridges spiral around the body in a slow, deliberate twist, as though the form were caught mid-turn before it could settle. Dark brown, white, and green celadon glazes follow the twisting surface in rich, marbled bands, left unlined by flux so the celadon holds its true, mossy green, in the same technique as the Terre Vase. Scattered touches of crystalline glaze catch at the ridges, drawing out soft metallic glints where the colors meet.

Its uneven, petal-edged mouth opens above the twisting body, a quiet contrast between the wildness of the surface and the containment of the form.

As each piece is hand-thrown and individually glazed, no two vases are exactly alike. Variations in glaze bleed, color, and metallic surfacing are part of each piece's character, not a flaw in it.
