Tulipe Vase

Part of the Earthy Drift collection, the Tulipe Vase shares its glaze story with the Strata and Modelé Vases, but takes a more botanical shape. Thrown first, then hand-shaped while the clay was still soft, its full, rounded body opens into an irregular, petal-like mouth, caught somewhere between closed bud and open bloom. Dark brown, white, green, and green celadon glazes pool across the form in dense, atmospheric passages, with the flux light blue glaze surfacing at the edges in unpredictable veins.

Wide and grounded, the vase sits low and full, its uneven opening catching shifting light across every curve, a form as much grown as made.

As each piece is hand-thrown and individually glazed, no two vases are exactly alike. Variations in glaze bleed, color, and surface texture are part of each piece's character.
